GEOCHELONE PARDALIS.
Here's a litlle explonatian about my Geochelone Pardalis.
.
The Geochelone Pardalis is a turtle with beautiful colours and one of the biggest land turtles.
There are 2 subspecies : the Geochelone Pardalis Babcocki and the Geochelone Pardalis.
This is the most widely distributed tortoise in southern Africa.
Found throughout the savannas of Africa, from Sudan to the southern Cape.
They are commonly kept as pets and adapt well to captivity.
I own 2 Geochelone Pardalis, mostly I keep them inside because the climate in Belgium isn’t warm enough to let them out a lot.
Only in the late spring and summer I keep them outside.
They need a lot of UV and UVA to grow well and let them to be healthy.
I mostly feed them weeds and grass, only from December till the beginning of March I give them endive.
